(Feedbacks from some of the participants in 2015 edition)
“I applaud all of Theatreconnekt for conceptualizing and realizing the workshop on Kutiyattam. Sooraj & Kesavan, having worked with acting schools every year, understand students well – and the program you both have structured could be a template for initiation into the art. Being a student at the Gurukul rather than in a sterile Drama School classroom also made the whole thing a completely immersive experience. Though I know a city workshop may be convenient in many ways, it will not hold a candle to this one”

“I would like to thank Theatreconnekt team and all teachers and artistes of Ammannur Gurukulam for making the Kutiyattam workshop most valuable and significant in my life. Honestly I feel blessed to have attended this workshop and gained some insight into so many areas that I have never tapped into. This workshop was like an awakening of senses and feeling that sit dormant in many individuals……………….I appreciate the effort and energy that has been put through by very talented artistes and teachers of Ammanur Chakyaar Gurukulam. Theatreconnekt has been fantastic in communication with me which I feel very important for participants coming over from overseas. Keep up the good work and thank you for being so professional”

“Back from Irinjalakkuda, as serene and beautiful place where we spent 10 intensive days, absorbing and watching the deep and magnificent dance theatre from Kutiyattam at Ammanur Gurukulam. Starting with morning eye exercises, introduction to mudras and angika training with Sarita, Aparna Nangiar, Ammanur Kuttan Chakyar, Sooraj Nambiar, Rajneesh Chakyar, Rajeev, Hariharan and the performers of the seven day festival which ran in parallel.
As I relive moments and hear the faint echoes of chants I feel very blessed to be part of this experience with a wonderful team of co-actors, Thank you Theatreconnekt for organizing this”
