The Kiralur Retreat, an adapted farm house, is a lush green, serene and silent space, located in a tiny hamlet Kiralur, in the outskirts of Thrissur city. Kiralur is a sleepy village of vast paddy fields, agricultural farms, coconut palm groves, tiny forests and hillocks.
Kiralur Retreat is a farm house of approximately 4500 Sq.ft built-up area, with three large furnished bedrooms with attached bathrooms, moderately equipped self-serviceable kitchens, a large central hall, an office room, drawing room and a spacious verandah and sit-out space in front. Hot water supply is provided through solar powered system. Services of cooks and Wi-fi connectivity can be made available on request.
Located close to Thamarathiruthy Temple, Kiralur, ‘Kiralur Retreat’ is approximately 14 Kilometers North-West of Thrissur City. To reach it, one has to take a deviation from Mundur Junction, on the Thrissur-Calicut highway, approximately 10 Kilometers from Thrissur. Mundur has a small local market, where one can find mini-supermarkets, tea shops, vegetable shops, pharmacy, Banks and ATM counters. There are also direct public bus services connecting Thrissur and Kiralur, which passes through Mundur.
The nearest railway and inter-state bus station is Thrissur. The nearest airport is Kochi (COK) is at a distance of 60 Kilometers.
Kiralur Retreat is being developed as a centre for the practice of performing arts, academic discourses and similar cultural activities. It is ideal for residencies, workshops, seminars, etc. Construction of an intimate performance space is in the planning, and will be operational by end of the year.
